Memories Of My First Chocolate Chip Cookie

I can still remember vividly my first chocolate chip cookie. My family could not afford what was then considered a luxury for us. Then when a family with three kids transferred to the next house and became our neighbor, I finally got a taste of one. Our neighbor’s oldest son saw me peeking on the fence while they were indulging on the treats and maybe I looked so pitiful that he came over and offered me one. I was five years old at that time and that gesture made a huge impact in my life. What happened to that boy? He became my husband and the cookies have become a major part of our family life.
