July 18, 2008 on 7:18 pm | By admin | In HealthDue to the recent media awareness today alot more people now know more about the MRSA disease. There are often outbreaks of MRSA within schools, nursing homes and other public areas. More attention has been received than normal as MRSA is predominantly seen in hospitals. The full title of mrsa is methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus which is a staph infection. It is very important to recognise the signs and symptoms of the infection very early on as treatment is the key to preventing life threating complications. First symptons of MRSA may appear harmless as you may only see red bumpson your skin, these often look like spider bites, boils or pimples. The further advanced stages of MRSA often don’t respond to the most agressive treatment.
