I have had many people if it is true that that the acai berry contains Omega-3 fatty acids.  Yes, it is true!  The Acai berry, a small berry that grows in the Amazon Rain Forest, is made up of about 50% fats.  74% of those fats are the healthy Omega 3, Omega 6 and Omega 9 fats.

While it is rare for a fruit to have high levels of Omega 3 fats – the Acai berry is a very unique berry.  The Acai berry is know for its incredibly high levels of antioxidants – but the fact that the Omega 3 content of the Acai berry is so high is an incredible bonus.

I tell all my friends – if you could eat only one food in the world – the Acai berry is the food you would want to eat.  The Acai berry has amino acids, healthy Omega 3 fats, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants – it is no surprise to learn that the Acai berry is the #1 Superfood in the world.
