Good rental cars in Christchurch - my story
August 31, 2008 on 10:17 am | By admin | In AutosThere are plenty of rental cars in Christchurch Believe me. I know from first hand experience. In fact I have been surprised at the quality of the cars and the low prices they come at. IN fact affordable is the word I would use. My family needed a car to drive from Picton to Christchurch and we had no problems finding one and driving down the beautiful Kaikora coastline. Rental and hire cars are widely used in Christchurch, since the Garden City is one of the main tourist centers in the South Island. We got our car and drove off with minimum fuss and had everything we needed for our tour.
Hydrogen Car Kit Technology - What About It?
August 28, 2008 on 7:25 pm | By admin | In AutosHydrogen Car Kit technology has enabled the wonderful power of hydrogen hybrid energy to be available to many people. Its a great thing because now many people are able to use this technology to begin incorporating hydrogen as a fuel into their own lives.
This is absolutely crucial, because from what we now know, the worlds resources for crude oil are over 50% depleted already. Without even mentioning the effect that this technology could have on our planets health, the potential savings that someone using a hydrogen car kit can make are a huge benefit.
When it comes down to it, its really the money that one can save which has been the main motivator for people buying and investing into this technology. Whatever the reason is that the people of this society start to begin taking advantage of this technology does not so much matter.
The only real thing of any consequence, is that people begin to use this technology, as its a great step towards where we need to go in terms of renewable energy.
Auto Safety Improvements
August 28, 2008 on 4:17 pm | By admin | In AutosThe number of accidents that happen in cars will never really drop too much. That is why car manufacturers are always looking at ways to improve safety. Thankfully the number of people seriously injured has dropped due to the advancements in their cars. Audi and Volkswagen are two companies that are really leading the way in their safety. They are also looking at ways to cut down on gas emissions and fuel consumption too. There are unofficial ways to use water for gas but no manufacturer has released it in their cars yet. With the rising price of gas, it is only a matter of time until one of them brings it out on one of their cars.
Why is Half Water Half Gas Better?
August 28, 2008 on 1:23 pm | By admin | In AutosWith all these different guides that you can buy to convert your car, how does the consumer know which one to choose? Well from what I have seen they are pretty much all based on the original Water 4 Gas system, and this means that the only real difference in choosing which guide is better is the quality of detail of the information and also the quality of the presentation of the information. The half water half gas guide is presented very well, and also provides video instruction on how to install the kit as well as the normal text instruction.
What To Look For In Valuable Diecast Cars
August 26, 2008 on 4:22 am | By admin | In AutosAnyone can be a collector of diecast model cars. It you are doing it just for the love of the collection itself than you can probably get away with a great collection for not a whole lot of money. On the other hand if you are looking to build up a valuable collection that may be worth some real bucks to you or your family someday than you need to put some effort and money into investing in diecast cars. Look for cars in mint condition that are very detailed and that have working movable parts. Often most valuable are cars that were produced of models that no longer exist or ones that were produced to commemorate something, someone or some special event.
Why I Hate Used Car Supermarkets
August 22, 2008 on 10:22 am | By admin | In AutosI was reading this post about used car supermarkets which seem to reflect them in a positive light and I had to take exception to this because I hate them and here is why. Firstly you don’t get the same value as you do if you buy the car privately because you have to pay for all the staff and the building. Secondly you don’t get the same service or peace of mind you would if you bought the car from a dealership. Thirdly I think used car supermarkets are not better than that bloke selling slightly iffy cars under the railway arches, after all he gives a guarantee doesn’t he? But will he be their next week? Take my advice and go either private or to a proper dealership.
Private plates for names take over
August 17, 2008 on 7:10 pm | By admin | In AutosThere has been a shift in popularity in the type of private plates that people in England are buying.Traditionally they used to buy their initials so the registration number would have 1,2 3 or 4 numbers and 1,2,3 letters such as 6940 VB or 1 AEF. With the advent of mobile phones and text speak, many numbers and words are interchangeable so people try to spell their names instead, So number plates like ANN 3E become more sought after than the more traditional cherished numbers depicting names or initials. It remains to be seen whether these numbers will retain their value as text speak could well be replaced by something else.
I think I am going to buy a left hand drive Volvo.
August 14, 2008 on 10:12 am | By admin | In AutosI recently moved to Europe. I received a job offer that I just couldn’t pass up. I purchased a home to live in. Now, I have to purchase a car to drive. In Europe, they drive on the opposite side of the street. The vehicles are all left hand drive, meaning that they the driver’s seat is what we know to be the passenger seat and vice versa. I think I am going to buy a left hand drive Volvo. I test drove a few different makes and models, and I like the Volvo the best.
I drove one of the new toyotas
August 13, 2008 on 7:24 am | By admin | In AutosI live in the united kingdom and it was on a recent business trip that I turned up at the airport and they gave me a toyota hybrid synergy drive car for the two weeks that I was there. I had never driven a hybrid car before and I must say that it was such a pleasant experience for me. Toyota is a pioneer and market leader and the toyota prius is one of the hybrid vehicles that are classified as a gasoline electric car that performs by making use of dual power sources. If you get a chance to test drive a hybrid vehicle, do yourself a favour and make sure it is the toyota hybrid synergy drive - you will be glad you did.
Friend trades in customized trike for a new hobby
August 12, 2008 on 7:12 pm | By admin | In AutosI have a neighbor who has a custom trike for sale. He recently decided that he no longer needed to have five customized trike motorcycles - or did his wife make that decision for him? Not quite sure what prompted his decision. I do know that his wife has been complaining about the amount of space that the trikes were taking up in the garage. Although she has complained about this for years, ever since he purchased his second customized trike, he always seemed to manage to convince her that he should keep them. I guess he needs to find a new hobby that takes up less space.
