There are many who want to try to make extra cash by purchasing bank owned properties.  They have discovered a market where some pretty major bargains can be found.  The current real estate market is a buyers market.  There are many buyers who have been able to get homes that once carried a high market value that are now for sale way below that market value.  The previous owners have lost these homes to the banks due to job loss or wage cuts.  Savvy real estate investors who have established credit or a good savings put back are jumping on these bargains as quickly as they become available.
