An insurance company is not an organisation dedicated to a particular welfare cause. It is a business venture whose primary aim it is to make a profit. Therefore, as any Toronto Injury Lawyer will tell you, pursuing a claim successfully against an insurance company is tough business. These organisations have considerable resources at their disposal. Investing a significant amount of money in fighting litigation could in the long run be money well invested if the claim that is avoided is of a significant size. It follows that the man on the street needs the cover provided by an insurance company if he is to either to successfully defend himself against a claim or successfully pursue a claim in such a circumstance.
