I think if you are going to get a tattoo you should design your own. That is the only way to do it. It is personal to you, and you will appreciate it that much more. You also won’t make the mistake of just picking a tattoo to just have one, and then later not liking it. A tattoo of your own design like custom cross tattoos, will make it that much more meaningful. I mean take an idea like that, a symbol that is recognized, and tweak it to fit your own likes. Add other things to it to say something significant about your life.
